Job Description: School-Based Clinicians
Position Overview:
Interdynamics, Inc., is a Behavioral Health Firm providing outpatient behavioral health services. As a member of the Interdynamics team of licensed clinicians (e.g., LMSW, LCSW-C, LCPC, LGPC, Psychology Associate, RBT), you are selected to support a variety of programs. Our mental health clinicians are responsible for providing clinical services, team consultation, and informational workshops to students, teachers, and parents. Our clinicians provide individual and group counseling for students, crisis intervention, family counseling and supportive collaboration, consultation with school teams, staff training, and community outreach. The mental health clinician is a full-time position that requires a commitment of a minimum of 40 hours per week. Eligible for health insurance immediately after hire and full benefits after 90-day probation is completed.
Qualifications:
Must be a Maryland licensed clinician in good standing, and have a minimum of a Master’s degree in one or more of the following fields: social work, mental health counseling, or psychology. Must meet screening requirements which include Criminal Background check and State Child Abuse Registry clearance. Candidates must provide evidence of current licensure, and malpractice insurance.
Requirements:
- School-based clinicians must commit to at least a one-year contract.
- Must complete 90 days of service satisfactorily or better to continue employment.
- Commit & report to assigned P. G. County school in person, Monday – Friday.
- Abide by Interdynamics school schedule for reporting to work and ending workday.
- Follow policies and protocols of Interdynamics, Inc., and PGCPS.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, ethical principles, and standards.
- Attend Orientation Meetings at Interdynamics, Inc., and PGCPS.
School-based clinicians must commit to at least a one-year contract. Responsibilities/Task Specifications:
- Report to work at the beginning of the school day in accordance with school policy.
- Provide counseling to students, teachers, and parents
- Conduct teacher consultations and classroom intervention
- Conduct training and workshops for staff, students, and parents
- Conduct classroom observations and functional behavioral assessments
- Attend weekly team meetings as required
- Conduct community outreach
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff as requested.
- Provide Crisis Intervention for students, staff, and families.
- Work with the school psychologist, counselors, and social workers.
- Provide family support and liaison service with other agencies on behalf of the family.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services.
- Meet weekly with Interdynamics Clinical Supervisor
- Inform Clinical Supervisor of all absences and breaks in services by Position Contract Specifications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Salary commensurate with experience
